What is epoxy flooring?
Epoxy is a unique material for use as flooring. Once the concrete floor has been jagged and prepared, epoxy resin and a hardener are combined and poured onto the concrete floor. The chemical reaction that occurs between these materials, in a few days, makes them become a hard and strong flooring, and then the second and third layers are applied to it.
Epoxy flooring is a seamless flooring that becomes uniform on the floor after hardening and blends in with the space. This makes epoxy flooring suitable for heavy use and mechanical loads such as forklift traffic in warehouses, workshops and production areas. Epoxy flooring is most commonly used in hospitals, schools, parking lot flooring and industrial environments. However, in some cases epoxy flooring is used in homes, kitchens or other indoor spaces.

Types of Epoxy Flooring
Anti-dust flooring: This type of flooring is used to prevent dust and dirt on concrete.
This product is designed based on bisphenol A epoxy resin and polyamine hardener. The appropriate viscosity of this product creates a self-leveling property and results in a transparent surface after application.
The very high adhesion of this product to various surfaces such as concrete, metal, stone, etc. is remarkable. Other properties of this product include its high mechanical, electrical, and chemical properties.
Due to its high compressive and abrasive resistance, integrated and seamless implementation, washability, and sterilizability, this flooring is used in various industries including automotive, military, petrochemical, power plants, electronics, food, pharmaceutical, and more.

Surface Preparation:
The desired surface must be free of any contamination, and the removal of concrete residue and creating a suitable profile for the adhesion of the coating to the substrate is necessary (for this purpose, a floor grinder and a scarifier machine are used). After removing the contamination and creating the appropriate roughness, dust is collected from the surface and the coating is applied.
Conditions of Coloring Environment:
The best temperature of the environment and work surface during execution is between 10-30 degrees Celsius. The implementation of the flooring is usually done in roofed spaces where, in addition to being roofed, controlling dust and the fall of foreign objects on the coating is mandatory. The ambient temperature during painting must be at least 3 degrees Celsius higher than the dew point temperature to prevent the formation of water droplets on the surface.
The Method of Applying the Paint:
Both components A and B are thoroughly mixed and then blended together according to the predetermined ratio. The amount and application method of each layer of this coating are defined based on factors such as the quality of the substrate, the thickness of the substrate, the required thickness, and so on.
Painting Equipment:
Applying this coating is possible manually with tools such as special brushes, rollers, and paintbrushes.
Safety Precautions:
– It is recommended to avoid continuous inhalation of the solvent vapors of this paint in enclosed spaces, and if possible, use appropriate safety equipment. In case of contact with skin and eyes, wash with plenty of water.
